About the book

‘Cannibal Capitalism: How Our System Is Devouring Democracy, Care and the Planet – And What We Can Do About It’ takes a hard look at how today’s economic system puts profit before people, nature, and democracy. The book shows how wealth is taken from the environment and from marginalized communities, while care work and political life are pushed aside.

Marxist feminist thinker Nancy Fraser explains how these problems are connected and argues that we need a strong, broad socialist movement that can challenge this system and build a society based on care, justice, and shared well-being.
