Kim Stanley Robinson komt op 7 november spreken in Bozar. Hij is een Amerikaanse bestseller auteur van meer dan twintig sciencefictionboeken. In zijn werk staat de ecologische crisis centraal.
In The Ministry for te Future (2020) verkent Robinson in het jaar 2312 de langetermijneffecten van klimaatverandering zoals voedseltekorten, massaal uitsterven van soorten en een 7-meter zeespiegelstijging. Het boek bekritiseert de mensen van de periode 2005-2060, omwille van hun falen om klimaatverandering aan te pakken. The Ministry for the Future is een klimaatbestseller en een sterk voorbeeld van climate fiction. Het boek wil vooral tonen hoe de toekomst eruitziet als we erin slagen de catastrofe te voorkomen. Uitgeverij Starfish zorgde voor een Nederlandstalige vertaling van dit boek die op deze avond zal gelanceerd worden.

Kim Stanley Robinson is speaking at Bozar on 7 November. He is an American bestselling author of more than 20 science fiction books. His work focuses on the ecological crisis.
In The Ministry for te Future (2020), Robinson explores the long-term effects of climate change such as food shortages, mass extinction of species and a 7-metre sea level rise in the year 2312. The book criticises the people of the 2005-2060 period for their failure to address climate change. The Ministry for the Future is a climate bestseller and a strong example of climate fiction. Above all, the book aims to show what the future looks like if we manage to avoid catastrophe. Publisher Starfish provided a Dutch-language translation of this book, which will be launched on this evening.
